Ecrio to Showcase GSMA Award-Winning RCS Mobile Client at CTIA Las Vegas

March 2010

Company Adds Coveted Award to Recent Verizon Wireless, DOCOMO Euro-Labs Wins

Ecrio, a client software company focused on enabling communications-rich IP opportunities, will bring its heralded FastTrackTM client framework and award-winning RCS4Me concept to CTIA Las Vegas, March 23 - 25. Private demos can be reserved by emailing CTIA@ecrio.com.

At GSMA's recent RCS DevChallenge ( www.rcsdevchallenge.com ), Ecrio was selected 'Best RCS Mobile Client' by an expert panel of judges . Ecrio also was a finalist as 'Best RCS PC Client,' the only company to qualify in multiple categories.  The winning RCS4Me mobile concept tapped Ecrio's new FastTrack framework to show how rich IP communications, including VoIP, messaging, presence and location, were quickly added to applications developed in Windows/Windows Mobile, Flash, Java/J2ME, and Android.  Developers unlocked rich services without coding in 'C' or having any specialized knowledge of SIP, IMS or RCS technology.

The GSMA selection immediately followed two other Ecrio wins: DOCOMO Euro-Labs' adoption of the FastTrack framework to create value-added services; and Verizon Wireless' selection of FastTrack to power communications-rich IP services, from Verizon Wireless' current network through its 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) rollout.

"The goal of the RCS Dev Challenge was to foster innovation and highlight the rich services available within the multi-operator Rich Communication Suite initiative," stated Graham Trickey, GSMA Senior Project Director. "With 29 leading companies participating in our first competition, including strong entries such as Ecrio and its catalyzing FastTrack framework, the RCS DevChallenge proved itself a global showcase for creativity and new service concepts."
